Grades 3-5 SOL Schedule
The Grades 3-5 SOL testing window is May 4 - June 1. Below is the 2016 Marshall SOL Schedule. Please keep these dates in mind as you are making appointments. All homeroom testing sessions begin at 9:15 am. If your child is participating in small group testing you will be notified by their teacher regarding dates and times of testing as it may vary from the rest of the class. 

Please note that at times, due to unexpected circumstances, it is necessary to adjust the SOL schedule. Should a change in schedule occur we will notify parents and students of that change as soon as possible.

2nd Grade Field Trip
Due to the Friday forecast calling for rainy weather, second grade is postponing the Lake Ridge Field trip scheduled for Friday, May 6 to Monday, May 23. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope the new date will be better suited for outdoor activities. If you are a chaperone and you are unable to go, please notify your child's teacher. Thank you for your understanding.
PWC Community Expo

You are invited to participate in sport, dance, fitness, fun, and physical challenges at the fifth  PWC Community Expo set for Saturday, May 21, from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Pfitzner Stadium Complex. This event is FREE admission. The event will include activities for all ages, such as a petting zoo, mascot dance off, BMX demonstrations, on-stage performances, prizes, food vendors, a rock climbing wall, reptile demonstrations, nutrition education, and physical education activities.

The PWC Community Expo is coordinated by Prince William County Public Schools, Prince William County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Council, PWC Parks and Recreation, and SPARK, the Education Foundation for PWCS.

Math 24 Winner
Congratulations to Marshall's Superstar 3rd Grader, Rania! She came in 1st place for PWCS at the Math 24 Competition on Saturday. Lots of hard work and dedication went into her win. We are SO proud of you!
SACC Registration

The School Age Child Care (SACC) Program is accepting applications for the 2016 summer camp administered by AlphaBEST through June 13. 

2016–17 School Year: 
Online registration is now open for current students of SACC. Families new to the program may begin registration for the 2016–17 School Year on May 2. Click HERE for further details.




 
Career Day

Our Annual Career Day planning has begun!  Career Day is a very special event for students and staff at Marshall.  Parent and Community Speakers are needed in order to make this event possible for our students.  Please contact Miss Johnson if you are interested in participating on Monday June 6th.  There will be a morning and afternoon session or you can volunteer all day.  Miss Johnson will provide details once presenters have been identified.  Thank you!

Woodbine Preschool
The Prince William County Public School Preschool Special Education Program has Integrated Preschool opportunities at Woodbine Preschool.  Our Integrated Program at Woodbine Preschool will serve children ages three and four years with developmental delays, along with their appropriate peer models.  There will be four openings for children ages three and four years of age to serve as peer models during the 2016-2017 school year.  Children must be at least 42 months old by September 30, and live in the Coles or Marshall Elementary school attendance areas.
